The plantations are approximately 20 minutes away by car from T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219 airport. The T\u00e2rnave region, in Transylvania, is one of the best areas in Romania for white grapes, but the red varieties, planted since 2004, have also produced quality harvests and excellent selections of Pinot Noir and Feteasc\u0103 Neagr\u0103. Depending on their location, the vineyard soils are heavy, silty and rich in limestone, with mineral deposits, which provide aroma to the Villa Vin\u00e8a wines. The clay content varies between 38 and 45%. A percentage between 51 and 55% is reached if fine alluvial areas are taken into account. These soils, difficult to work due to their composition, have, on the other hand, a high capacity to store water and bind nutrients. The humus content of the soil is responsible for loosening and aerating it. The region benefits from a continental climate. Hot and dry summers, with above-average sunshine and little rainfall, alternate with cold and harsh winters. The exposure of the southern slopes is doubled by good aeration, thanks to the strong winds that quickly dry the morning dew and naturally prevent the development of mold on the grapes.
