The Kerner variety is a cross between Riesling and Trollinger, who emigrated quite recently to Târnava
Mică. A wine made of Kerner is seductive that convinces you right away.
Thios Kerner is less aromatic than a Riesling, but it’s surprisingly full-bodied and the acidity is
expressive. The taste is rather exotic – it has some mango and bitter notes of grapefruit. Overall, it is a
wine with extreme freshness, still young and restless, but with a certain personality. If you want to take
a break from generic white wines, then “Kerner is the name of the game”.
